From every corner of the world, stadiums, arenas, theaters, and nightclubs, Johnny Solinger has brought the sound of Texas thunder to the masses.
Johnny formed the rock band SOLINGER in Dallas, Texas, recording four independent records and enjoying success throughout the South West.
In January of 2000, Johnny was invited to join the multi-million album selling rock band SKID ROW, immediately embarking on a nine-month tour with rock legends KISS. To date, Solinger has played to millions of rock fans and toured the world many times over, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music including Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and
Kid Rock, just to name a few. He has recorded four records with the band: “Thickskin”, “Revolutions Per Minute”, and 2 EPs "United World Rebellion: Chapter One" (2013) and "Rise of the Damnation Army: United World Rebellion Chapter 2" (2014). Johnny and SKID ROW parted ways in 2015 after 15 years of recording and touring.
Johnny has added “Country Recording Artist” to his Rock and Roll resume. Don’t be confused, for this should come as no surprise to anyone who knows the versatile singer. Growing up in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, Johnny was exposed in equal doses to Hard Rock and Country music. He fell in love with both, and has been two timin’ them ever since.
His Self-titled 2008 debut release was highly acclaimed, earning a 4 1/2 star review in Country Weekly Magazine, the "Rolling Stone" of Country Music publications. Though being limited by a busy Skid Row tour schedule in 2009 and 2010 which left Johnny with little time to visit country radio stations and interact with country music press, the album was well received and produced a couple of Top 20 singles on the TMC and TRRR radio charts.
Johnny Solinger signed on with Red River Entertainment and Sony/RED to deliver the follow-up to his debut country album with the world wide release of the EP titled “Scrappy Smith” in late October 2014. The record was featured in Billboard Magazine and appeared as a spotlight on iTunes that same week.
"This record was a long time coming. I always meant to follow up my debut country album with future releases but my schedule did not allow me time to work on a new solo project. Being the lead singer in a multi-platinum rock band can keep you busy.”
The EP continues to showcase Johnny’s unique country vocal style on songs penned by the “Kentucky Headhunters”, David Lee Murphy and rock band Blackstone Cherry, who wrote Florida Georgia Lines #1 hit “Stay”, among others.
The future remains bright for this versatile entertainer, who is not afraid to add new projects to
his already impressive resume.
